Built in the 1870’s as a means of preventing sand from getting scattered everywhere in the lobbies of the various hotels along the Atlantic City coastline, the boardwalk has since come a very long way.

It was in1976 when gambling in Atlantic City was approved and ever since then the Atlantic City Boardwalk has continued to grow in popularity.
